Dr. Ibrahim Al-Jubouri, a member of the administrative body of the Arab Society for Plant Protection, gave a lecture entitled “Biological Control: Does it Have a Future in Arab Countries in Light of the Excessive Use of Chemical Pesticides?”

On November 3, 2024, the Jordanian Ministry of Agriculture, in coordination with the Food and Agriculture Organization, hosted the expert engineer Shadi Suleiman from the Laboratory of Biological Enemies in Syria as part of its training curriculum on biological control.

Thirty engineers attended the workshop, half of whom will be trained in mass rearing and releasing biological enemies. The Laboratory of Mass Rearing of  Biological Enemies in Deir Alla was carried out in cooperation between the Food and Agriculture Organization and the Jordanian Ministry of Agriculture as part of the FAO program for managing the fall armyworm.
