The 8th webinar of the Researchers Meeting in Acarology Group on Facebook, through the Zoom technology will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021. Dr. Ahamed Sanad Senior Researcher, Plant Protection Research Institute, Egypt will give a lecture entitled (Applied and economic importance of the phytoseiid mites). The family Phytoseiidae is considered one of the most important families that follow the order Mesostigmata (sub-class Acari). The family Phytoseiidae is one of the most studied groups of this order due to the economic importance of several species used as biological control agent of phytophagous mites. The aim of this lecture is to give a brief on nutrition behavior and factors effects on the development of phytoseiid mites. In addition to review some recent applied examples for using predacious Phytoseiid mites for control pests in Egypt.
