About Us


The Arab Society for Plant Protection (ASPP) is a non-profit professional and scholarly organization of scientists from both public and private academic institutions, as well as industry representing a great variety of scientists who are involved in the field of plant protection in the Arab World and abroad.

The society promotes research, education, and extension activities related to pests, provides science-based information to the public and private sectors and fosters awareness of pests and their impacts on arable and natural ecosystems. The ASPP is affiliated to the International Association for the Plant Protection Sciences (IAPPS), International Society for Plant Pathology (ISPP) and the Mediterranean Phytopathological Union (MPU).


Establishment


The Society was established by a group of plant protection scientists who met in Aleppo in 1977, and officialy registered in 1981 in Beirut, Lebanon and now it includes over 700 members from 17 different Arab countries in addition to other countries such as: Iran, Pakistan, Turkey, France, Germany, Greece, UK and USA.

The 13th Arab Conference of Plant
Protection October 16-21, 2022


The ASPP Executive Committee and the ACPP 2022 Organizing Committee cordially invites you to attend the 13th Arab Conference of Plant Protection held at the "Le Royal hotel" in Hammamet, Tunisia during October 16-21, 2022.The congress is a great opportunity for researchers, students and private sector personnel from all Arab and other countries to meet and discuss their latestresearch findings, in addition to interaction with invited speakersfrom all regions of the world to strengthen professional linkages and build international collaboration further.

Postponement of the 13th
Arab Congress of Plant Protection

 
Due to the continuation of the Covid-19 pandemic and unstable health situation in Tunisia, the Congress Organizing Committee decided to postpone the congress to October 2022. The Society Executive Committee endorsed the new date and ensured getting the same hotel prices offered earlier.

1-The new congress date is October 16-21, 2022.
2-Registration deadline: September 1, 2022.
3-Abstract’s submission deadline (confirmation of earlier submitted abstracts or presenting new ones): April 30, 2022.
4-Acceptance of abstracts: 30 June, 2022.
5-Deadline for submitting proposals for invited concurrent oral research papers sessions: March 31, 2022
6-Second congress announcement: May 31, 2022.
7-Third and final congress announcement:  July 1, 2022.
8-Deadline for hotel booking: July 31, 2022.
